What is the Summer Food Service Program?
The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is a federally funded program operated nationally by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and locally by the Delaware Department of Education. Sponsoring organizations receive reimbursement for meals served to children 18 years of age and younger.
Why serve Summer Meals?
Just as learning doesn't end when school lets out, neither does a child's need for good nutrition. The Christina Summer Lunch Crew provides nutritious breakfasts and lunches to children under age 18. Meals are also available to persons with disabilities, over age 18, who participate in school programs for people who are mentally or physically handicapped.
Is this program for Christina Students only?
No. The Summer Lunch Crew sites are open to any child, under the age of 18. Meals are free to all children meeting the age requirements.
What times are the meals served?
Breakfast is served from 9:00 – 9:30 a.m.
Lunch is served from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the following sites:

What are the Family Dinner Nights?
At alternating Newark and Wilmington sites The Summer Lunch Crew will offer dinners 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. to families. Children under the age of 18 are free and Adult meals are $2.00. Further information, dates, locations and weekly menus will be posted soon on the website.
